“Miss Celie’s Blues” Purple flowers and a deep sadness pervades the days of Celie, who is trapped in relationship after relationship that tears her down, emotionally and physically. Her sister, the only person she truly connected with, and whom loves her so much back, was also torn away from her as well. Even her sister’s letters are kept from Celie, by her angry and ill-tempered husband only known to her as “Mister”.

How I feel about my first LGBTQ show
When one of my friends from my high school told me of this girl who might be interested in a relationship—maybe interested in me, I was freaking out. I remember when my dad brought me to that gas station to meet up with her and our mutual friend.
