So, the 2025 Boston Celtics will play the Orlando Magic in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, which will begin on Sunday, April 20th.

First and foremost, this team played much differently than the prior year. At the same time, they didn’t have as many victories as the year before. Although they won fewer games this year, their offense was still ranked highly. They ranked in the top 5 on both ends of the floor.

In addition, they were highly regarded as a team making more 3 pointers than their opponents.. When they didn’t score as many 3-pointers, their record was 7 – 14.

After the Golden Warriors won their second straight title in 2018, the team officially became a dynasty.

Moreover, it is hard to win back-to-back championships, but the 2025 Boston Celtics is hoping to achieve this.

So, the question remains: can this team that won the championship with the same players last year repeat this year?

With so many changes in the CBA, it makes it hard to repeat. However, with the team’s depth and their talent, it is a possibility.

When the Magic played the Celtics on April 9th, they clinched the 7th spot in the Eastern Conference.

This team likes to play their game at a slower pace, yet they are physical. Also, they like to play their games in the half-court.

In addition, the Orlando Magic ranked second in defensive efficiency.

So, the question remains: will they be able to keep the Celtics from scoring?

Friday, April 25th – the Celtics will be in Orlando – Game 3 at 7:00 p.m. on NBC

Sunday, April 27th – the Celtics will be in Orlando – Game 4 at 7:00 p.m. on NBC

Tuesday, April 29th – the Orlando Magic will be in Boston – Game 5, if needed, TBD

Thursday, May 1st – the Celtics will be in Orlando – Game 6 if needed, TBD

Saturday, May 3rd – the Orlando Magic will be in Boston – Game 7, if needed, TBD

Coverage for all games will begin one hour before tip-off.

Who Will Win

Although the Orlando Magic won the series in the regular season, the playoffs are much different.

Indeed, the Orlando Magic have been playing well. However, I think the 2025 Boston Celtics are hoping to win this series quickly.

For the Celtics, Jason Tatum is expected to be a factor in the playoffs.

So, the sports predictions are for the Celtics to win this series in four games.
