'Fire, Fire' --- unspoken
A real life story of someone closest to me.

Temperature 41 Celsius- sleeping quietly, Skylar holmes was living that day as a nightmare. Her body ached and every tiny bone in that 9 year old felt losing it's strength.
The Holmes were sitting in a room next to her's and were having dinner after a chaotic day of getting Skylar a proper treatment and medications.
"Go Bryce, see if your little fairy has fallen asleep or still weeping with misery.", said the mother of little weakling.
[Door squeaking ..........................]
[Faintly whispering]
'O! little thing. I'm so sad for her condition. God, please let your blessings upon her and make her frisky again so that we could pillow fight again'
[Carefully closing the door]
A blow of wind hits the door and enters the room of Skylar without permission.
"Thank God Mom! Skylar has fallen asleep after being restless for 2 days. I'm finally a bit relieved", said her elder brother, Bryce holmes.

The wind that entered into the room of Skylar caused the curtain, that was hung on her door to shift it's position and lay on the top of heater that was positioned right beside the 'head-side' of Skylar's bed.
In the cold, frozen evening of December, Skylar was finally resting in her bed covered within warm electric-blanket with her bad-health condition until she felt the temperature of her body rising with an unpredictable scale.
She struggled with her eyes-but she couldn't open them. After a few minutes of trying she opened her eyes and couldn't help but throw her blanket away. She felt like she was burning in a furnace.
With her half-opened eyes, she saw a reflection of yellow-orange light on her front wall. Her body was so numb at the moment that she was unable to predict about the light. But within no time she realised the unusual light was nothing but smouldering fire that was lighting up her room.
She- instantly forgot about her fragility and ran to the corner of her room. She saw the fire of the heater caught the curtain and all her decorations on the corresponding wall.
[-------Silent shrieks-------]
That wasn't even the worst part. It was -in that unhanding situation, no one in the other room could hear her.
The fire was silent!
And so were she. She tried to scream hard. She, with all her due force screamed 'FIRE! FIRE!' - yet unspoken. She lost her voice in fear and terror. She knew that was the end of her life.
Closed her eyes- Thought about every beautiful moment she lived with her family. Still, couldn't forget about the frightening situation she was trapped in. All her hopes of living a life with so many dreams in her frightened eyes seemed to vanish all in no time.
.
.
Suddenly, the door cracked open and Skylar blindly saw fire between her brother and herself. Bryce -in no time- pulled the blazed curtain with his bare hands. Like a scene from a movie- her family pulled the fire extinguisher and buckets of water on to the fire.
That was the time when Skylar lost the energy from her frail legs -she fell down and fainted. Her disturbed mother rushed in and lifted her little girl in her arms, kissed her and took Skylar to her room.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
That incident is still stuck in the mind of Skylar holmes so bad that even writing about it is making her feel that warmth of the room and- terrifies her soul.
Who is Skylar Holmes?
It's actually my own childhood true story. I used a random name for myself and the family. Other than that- it's all real life experience.

Ohh! Dear, this is a very profound and painful experience."It stunned me." Personal stories are often the most powerful because they reflect real emotions and experiences. Your story highlights the severity of that horrific situation and shows how transformative such moments can be in life. You have presented it very emotionally and deeply. Thank God you were not harmed in that incident. Take care of yourself moving forward, sister!"
