Lil Wayne Complains About Yet Another Grammys Snub
Lil Wayne didn't receive any nominations for his fourteenth solo studio album, "Tha Carter VI," which he dropped last June.

Hang it up, sir. You're a legend in this game, but you played like Jordan on the Wizards with this last album. I actually like most of the songs including “Cotton Candy.” But it’s time to retire, homie. You’ve achieved great critical and commercial feats during your tenure in this rap sludge.
What you should focus on is creating your own sports network. That will give you time to earn some more income at another activity which excites you. Hip hop is not for you anymore, sir. It’s over, let go. While some screech that your latest effort was mid, it was good but not great. You’ve gotta be great nowadays. Like you were when you dropped your masterpiece Tha Carter II. That is your Off the Wall and III is your Thriller. The rest of your storied career is full of seminal efforts and lesser classics.
Now is the time for you to wave goodbye to the GRAMMYS® and other music awards. See if you can’t win an ESPY for developing your own athletics channel online. That would be so cool to know that Wayne produced an entire network based on his passion. You’ve stated essentially that if it isn’t on ESPN, it didn’t happen.
So let’s not get into Drizzy’s latest losses or your other partner in rhyme Nicki Minaj’s outlandish behavior these past few weeks. Let’s talk about how you can cheer on the best athletes in the world with your very own site that will cater to the sports supporters in us all.
You shouldn’t be worried about getting on stage for a golden gramophone. You should be ready to present to the world your affinity for the field, court, track and ice. This is the dawning of a new day for you, Mr. Carter. You’ve proven to yourself time and again that you're still Young Mula. Your name is synonymous with creativity, activism, and well, money. You can channel all of that into a neatly packaged bundle. Hell, you could create your streaming channel that will rival the giants.
If you still feel "colossal" you should take your talents to the Web screens. All of this is still possible to you, sir. The only thing you should be concerned with is your ability to entertain individuals with your erudite knowledge of sports and your wide range of thoughts on smoking weed and gaining dominion over the opposite sex.
If you still feel like making music, just record a series of acclaimed mixtapes. That’s your bag. Leave the major award winners to the up-and-coming artists. You’ve made an indelible mark on music and culture at large. It is now time to leave the stirrups for someone else to fill. You can walk into the sunlight like Ted Turner or Tyler Perry. On the heels of a new project, you should celebrate the fact you’re able to navigate through the humid, torrid landscape as a beacon of hope to young people that wish to do something with their lives. You can be that shining light that leads them to paths of glory.
Once you realize your full potential as a CEO of a sports network of your own, you will be able to pump your music into the sphere. Imagine the teams jamming to “John” or getting hyped by listening to “Hustler Muzik.” you’ll be free to find a way to create your own lane and excel at something that motivates you. It’s a strong pill to take to realize that one door is nearly shut.
But grab your parachute and light one before you jump out the window.
