Centuries Later

One day, in a very old graveyard, two spirits were talking to each other

One day, in a very old graveyard, two spirits were talking to each other. One of them looked around in amazement and asked the other, “How long has it been since we died?”

The second spirit thought for a long time and then replied, “Hundreds of years have passed, but it seems the time for judgment has still not arrived.”

Curiosity overtook them, and both spirits decided to step out of the graveyard to observe their surroundings. As soon as they left, they were stunned by the changed world before them. Towering buildings, as tall as mountains, stood proudly in every direction. Seeing these massive structures, the spirits felt frightened, wondering if the buildings might collapse and fall on them.

They noticed wide, clean, and smooth roads, which left them deeply astonished. It was morning, and only a few people were visible on the streets. Soon, they saw a human approaching them. The clothes the person was wearing were so tight that even the spirits felt uncomfortable just looking at them. In their own time, they had only ever seen people fully covered from head to toe.

The two ancient spirits walked leisurely in the middle of the road when suddenly they heard a loud noise from behind. Turning around, they saw a terrifying creature rushing toward them, roaring and screaming loudly. The monstrous thing released smoke and produced an unbearable noise as it passed between them at great speed. Terrified, the spirits screamed and ran for their lives.

As they fled, they reached a railway track. Seeing two long, flat iron rails stretching endlessly into the distance left them speechless. Suddenly, a train came clattering toward them with a thunderous sound. The spirits were so frightened that they could not even move from their place. The train thundered past, seemingly crushing them beneath its massive body.

They wondered how many body parts this monstrous being had, because it appeared never-ending. When the train finally passed, the spirits jumped up in relief, fearing it might return. Without looking back, they ran as fast as they could.

Soon, they reached another clean road. There, they noticed a fashionable woman approaching. Her hair was scattered wildly, resembling a bird’s nest. The two spirits began walking alongside her, observing her strange appearance.

Suddenly, a mysterious bell-like sound rang out from the bag she was carrying. The sudden noise startled the spirits so badly that they jumped and collided with each other, though the collision had no effect because they were spirits. The woman calmly took out a small box from her bag, placed it near her ear, and began talking.

The spirits were utterly confused. She appeared to be talking to herself, speaking continuously, then pausing for a while, and then starting again. They could not comprehend how a person could talk endlessly without another human present.

Both spirits then sat on the wall of a bridge, deeply puzzled about what part of the world they had entered. Just then, a screaming, roaring bird appeared in the sky. It descended with an ear-splitting noise and hovered directly above them.

They had never seen such a terrifying bird in their lifetime. Paralyzed with fear, they jumped into a nearby drain to hide. Once the monstrous bird passed, they cautiously emerged and looked around.

At that very moment, another strange creature appeared—this time on the ground. It was a small, two-wheeled monster, with a man sitting on top of it wearing a metal helmet. Screeching loudly, slipping and speeding toward them, it added to their terror.

With the horrifying bird in the sky and this noisy creature chasing them on the ground, the spirits were overwhelmed. Panicking, they ran back toward the graveyard as fast as they could. Finally reaching the cemetery, they leapt into their graves and took shelter inside.

Only then did they feel safe, silently wondering how terrifying the world had become after hundreds of years.
