I had a dream, and in this dream, I was much older. Me and a few friends were sitting around sharing our various memories of the past and comparing it with present of our older selves. We realized how things really did stay the same from how one dressed to the vocabulary that one spoke. We gathered at various venues along with others to share current events and even to answer questions for the younger generations. I guess in the future I will be a teacher of sorts. We realized that we as elders were still of some value too.

The Black Cat
Walking down the street one night I came across a black cat crossing the street. You know that old saying about black cats 'don't let them cross your path' or something like that, so I tried to walk faster so that wouldn't happen, but to no avail that cat would not seem to let me get ahead of him or her on this midnight walk. What could this 'cat' want or need from me? I wondered about this and thought maybe this cat just wants the company and then all of the sudden in a flash it ran at me.

finding love on the mountain top
The mountain didn't look like a place where love would happen, It looked sharp and aloof, a spine of stone rising out of the morning fog, more interested in the weather than in people. I climb it for quiet. For the distance. For the simple, selfish wish to feel small enough that my thoughts would finally stop shouting.
