"You know I've waited my whole life to just have one conversation with you? That might sound like a long time to wait for a conversation"

"Oh, that's along time to wait."

"Yeah, I guess so."

"You didn't have to wait you know."

"Yeah, I've come to realize that. I've waited for so many years to have a chat but now it's too late."

"What's stopping you?"

"The fact that it's not really a conversation if it's one sided."

"No. I guess that is true."

"I just wanted to know why? Why did you leave me? I was only a child."

"It's not that simple."

"It is that simple actually. You choose to have a child. You choose to go to court for child but then abandon them after words. What was even the point?"

"You don't know the story-"

"- I know enough. Story- no story. At the end of the day you just allowed it to happen. Even when I became an adult you still could of reached out."

"I didn't want to-"

"-Distrupt my life? Yeah, that isn't really an excuse."

"I'm sorry."

"The thing is, you're not though. I spent my who life searching for you, just to find you six feet under."

"I get your upset-"

"Upset is an understatement."

"I get your upset but what would have it changed?"

"Everything. It would have changed everything. You left me with a monster. You must have had a feeling she wasn't a good person."

"I had a feeling something was wrong when I came home and you were gone."

"But you didn't do anything."

"I did fight for you. I went to court for you. I tried to have it go in my favour."

"Yeah? How well did that go? I saw you for a short time before you stopped showing up and calling."

"The phone works both ways you know."

"I was a child! I was 5 when you left me. You were the parent. It was your one and only job was to love and protect me!"

"I thought I was..."

"You don't get to be condescending. You don't get to tell me I don't know the whole story to it's a two way street to you thinking you're protecting me!"

"What do you want me to say? I'm sorry I left you in the care of your mother? I thought that was best for you. You were thriving in school. had friends. Had a daily routine. You were a very healthy happy child. After a while I was just a distant memory."

"Who told you that? Her? The same woman who just packed me up and moved across the province? Out of the county? The same woman who lied? Told stories to make herself look better?"

"I thought I was doing what was best for you."

"The funny thing is. She's never the one who told me the story. It's always him. I knew about you. Form a small age I knew you were my real father. But you didn't feel real. It was always confusing. I asked about you all of the time. When I get in trouble or there was a fight, you were brought up. When I would offer to make things easier for them and go to you, it would make things harder for myself."

"Yeah. I bet it would."

"I just wanted to know why. Why you stayed away? Why you never pushed to see me? Why you never pushed once I became of age? Why didn't you move closer to see me? I'm told I was important to you but I guess not."

"What would you like me to say? I'm dead."
