The document, encased in glass, revealed faded ink and broken edges. In the excavation tent, the archaelogists stared at the symbols with curiosity.

“Can you translate it?” Lucy Donovan’s assistant, Jonathan, asked as if he were afraid to disturb the ancient artifact.

“No need for that,” Lucy claimed whilst pressing her palm onto the glass.

Suddenly, the world shifted.

The tent vanished, replaced by an alien-looking stone chamber; a voice boomed in her mind: “The Keeper returns.”

Jonathan’s breath stopped for a second.

“This wasn’t a document. It was a key,” said Lucy showing a triumphant Cheshire Cat's grin.

This was pretty amazing Susan how you were able to make the earth move in exactly 100 words. Excellent and crafty writing.

I like the mention of the Cheshire Cat, and the idea of touching the glass and the world shifting, then hearing the whisper from the keeper — it was spooky mysterious, magical and captivating. Congratulations on your 3rd place win under most subscribed to creators on the leaderboard this week 🎉🎊🎉
