The System is the Abuser

The courts side with abusers while pretending to serve justice – here’s the reality nobody talks about.

Somewhere between the courtroom walls and the paper trails, survivors are being crushed while abusers are protected – and everyone acts like it’s normal. The myth is that family law is neutral, that judges, lawyers, and social workers act in good faith. But survivors know the truth. They know what it feels like to navigate a system designed to fail them, to weigh every word they say against the machinery of disbelief, indifference, and institutional inertia.

There’s a myth that expertise on post-separation abuse belongs to judges, lawyers, or social workers. The truth? Real expertise belongs only to survivors – those who have endured this protracted nightmare, often alone, often while their concerns were minimized, dismissed, or weaponized against them. Lived experience exposes what privileged, detached authorities cannot see.

Family law is not designed to protect victims. Its incentives reward conflict, prolong cases, and pathologize survival. Fear, anger, despair – our justified reactions – become evidence of dysfunction. Survival itself is monetized. Courts know what coercive control and abuse look like. Their failure to act is not ignorance – it’s willful protection of abusers. Pretending not to understand something so obvious is institutional narcissism. Narcissists shield each other, ensuring the system empowers abusers while crushing the powerless.

There is no justice. Accountability does not exist. Courts assist abusers, turning survivors’ attempts to expose wrongdoing into additional trauma. Stonewalling, gaslighting, bureaucratic cruelty – this is the system’s modus operandi. The illusion of fairness hides a machine designed to protect criminals while punishing those they victimized.

Consider this: a domestic violence case with clear evidence, a lifelong pattern of escalating violence, and a vulnerable female victim. The crown prosecutor’s focus? Not the victim’s safety or wellbeing – but the criminal abuser’s ability to keep his license, his job, his social standing intact. This is when the emperor’s clothes are fully off and the circus is so obvious it is almost absurd, yet devastatingly real.

Change will not come from the privileged or unburdened. It comes from survivors who have felt the weight of suffering, who speak, who unite, and who act. The true return of Christ consciousness is rising now in survivors – those who shine light on deceit, who reclaim power from within, and who refuse to run to more abusers for validation or strength. Real power flows from spirit, from faith, from inner fortitude. All things are possible through God. Glory be to God – no weapon formed against us shall prosper.

These morally and spiritually bankrupt individuals are weak and rely on manipulation, lies, feigned ignorance, and a united front of deception to survive. The more survivors who go grey rock or no-contact – not just with the abuser but with the entire corrupt system – and who stand up, speak out, and support each other, the more these rotting, vapid structures will collapse under their own weight.

Survivors, rise. Speak your truth. Support each other without compromise. Withdraw your energy from the system that betrays you. Stand in your power, unapologetically, and let your unity shine like fire on corruption. Every voice, every act of refusal, every moment of courage weakens the structures built on lies and fear. Together, we are unstoppable. Together, we are the light that exposes the darkness.

Trust your perception. Recognize that your futile attempts to explain yourself and be seen in court – or in the system – mirror your attempts to be seen and heard by your abuser. There is no help “out there.” True strength and justice exist only within. Stand firm in your inner authority. Know your truth. Protect your soul. You are not alone.
