K-Drama January Wrap-Up
Let's talk about the K-dramas that finished or started to air in January 2026

Jan has been the busiest month for us K-drama fans. A lot of good K-dramas started to air in January, and I am here for it. In this blog post, let’s talk about the K-dramas that finished or started to air in January 2026. I will only be talking about the dramas I finished/started to watch in January 2026.
Surely Tomorrow (Rating 3/10 )

This has to be the most boring K-drama I have ever seen. I really wanted to enjoy this one, but I was very disappointed. I started with K-drama because of Park Seo Joon. I really wanted to love this one, but I couldn’t. I just couldn’t even finish it. The whole plot was boring, and none of the characters were unlikable. I just couldnot stand this K-drama. It’s about 2 exe’s reuniting. The storyline was poorly executed, and the female lead’s character was just unlikable.
Lee Gyeong Do ( Park Seo Joon) and Seo Ji U (Won Ji An) used to date in their early 20’s. But Seo Ji U would decide to leave Lee Gyeong Do without any explanation. They would meet each other again in their late 20’s, and they would decide to give their relationship another shot. Again, Seo Ji U would leave Lee Gyeong U. They would again meet each other in theri 30’s.
All I saw was the female lead leaving and the male lead getting hurt. Even after all this pain, the male lead still wants the female lead back. This shows the male is just a doormat, and the female lead is very rude and unlikable. This K-drama was a waste of my Wifi.
Can This Love Be Translated? (Rating 8.5/10)

I loved these K-dramas. Kim Seon Ho is just amazing. I loved him in “Start-Up “ and “Hometown Cha Cha Cha”. He’s one of the actors most people swoon over. Go Youn Jung again was amazing as the female lead. The chemistry between these two were off-the chart. This K-drama had everything I liked, and it was one of those K-dramas I was excited to see this year. I loved it.
Cha Mu Hui (Go Youn Jung) is an actress. She will rise to fame after playing a zombie. While she was shooting this movie, she would meet with an accident, and this would lead to her being in a coma. When she wakes up, she realizes that she has become. famous. After becoming famous, she will get an opportunity to take part in a dating reality show alongside a Japanese actor, and she does not understand Japanese.
Ju Ho Jin ( Kim Seon Ho) is a translater and he will get a job as a translator for Cha Mu Hui. This will become his full-time job. Cha Mu Hui will have a dual personality. Her other personality is Do Ra Mi. Do Ra Mi is the zombie she played in the movie that made her famous. After the accident, Cha Mu Hui will start to see and hear Do Ra Mi. When things get tough, Do Ra Mi makes an appearance.
This storyline itself is very unique, and it was well executed. I loved this K-drama, and the chemistry between Kim Seon Ho and Go Youn Jung was lit. I loved seeing them onscreen. This was such a beautiful show, loved every second of it.
Idol I (My Rating 10/10)

I loved this K-drama. For me, everything about K-drama was a 10/10. The storyline, pacing, and their chemistry were just perfect. This K-drama was really bold in calling out toxic fans and how difficult the life of an idol can really be. Some fans are really obsessive thinking they own an idol because they spend a lot of money on them. I am glad this K-drama called out such obsessive fan behaviour. The chemistry between Choi Soo Young and Kim Jae Yeong was just natural.
Maeng Se Na ( Choi Soo Young) is a hot-shot lawyer and a fangirl. She is a lawyer by day and a fan-girl by night. Do Ra Ik (Kim Jae Yeong) is an idol. He will be accused of murder. Maeng Se Na is his fan. She will choose to hide that part and become his lawyer. She will then go on to defend her bias.
I felt like 12 episodes were just perfect for this K-drama. I really loved the pacing. I enjoyed watching their love story; it felt so natural. I was surprised, I enjoyed this K-drama as initially I had low expectations. But, as the episodes went by, I found myself really getting into it. I really loved how they showed the good side and the dark side of being an idol.
The Judge Returns (Currently Ongoing)

Ji Sung is my favourite Korean actor, and I was pumped when I heard he’s coming back after a 2-year hiatus with the K-drama “ The Judge Return”. For a second, I thought this was season 2 of the K-drama “ The Devil Judge”, but it’s not. Lee Han Yeong (Ji Sung) was a corrupt judge, and he used to give rulings according to whatever his high-ups said. But very soon, he will start to feel guilty, and he will send a powerful guy to jail. He will go against his higher-ups, and this will get him killed. After he dies, he will be magically transported 10 years back, and he will start to correct all his mistakes and get revenge on the guys who got him killed.
This K-drama is getting better and better as the episodes go by. The 1st episodes was a little boring, but things got interesting from 2nd episode. I am really enjoying this one, and Ji Sung is nailing it as usual.
Spring Fever (Currently Ongoing)

I am surprisingly enjoying this one. This K-drama is too funny and very dramatic. All the dramatic scenes have made me laugh. Yun Bom (Lee Joo Bin), a teacher from Seoul, will transfer to a small village as an exchange teacher. Initially, she will be cold and closed off, but things will change when she meets Seon Jae Gyu (Ahn Bo Hyun). I am loving their chemistry, and the male lead in this series is very unique. He’s so dramatic, and I am loving it. This K-drama is a light watch.
No Tail To Tell ( Currently Ongoing)

Kim Hye Yoon is brilliant in this series. I am watching this K-drama only for her. She’s too good in this series. The last time we saw was in the K-drama “Lovely Runner”. I don’t know why suddenly people are complaining about her acting. I don’t know how they want her to play a selfish role. Her character in this series is a little, but selfish and devious, and I am loving it. She’s truly killing it. I don’t know what people were complaining about; I find no problem with her acting. If you want to complain about something, complain about their chemistry instead.
Eun Ho ( Kim Hye Yoon) is a nine-tailed fox. Unlike other nine-tailed foxes, she does not want to be human, so she stays away from doing good deeds; she only does mischievous deeds. Kang Si Yeol (Lomon) was a top-soccer player, playing for an international team. His life was perfect until he ran into Eun Ho.
The only problem I am finding with this K-drama is that I feel there is no chemistry between the leads. I really feel their chemistry is lacking. I am loving the female lead. The first 2 episodes were a little boring, but got better from episode 3. What I love about this K-drama is that both the leads are a little selfish, which is very human. I will continue watching this drama because of Kim Hye Yoon, love her.
Undercover Miss Hong (Currently Ongoing)

Park Shin Hye is back this year with the K-drama “Undercover Miss Hong”, and I am loving her in this drama. Park Shin Hye is back after a 2-year hiatus, and I started watching this K-drama because of her. Her character in this K-drama is funny, and she should do more comedy roles. I am just loving her.
Hong Geum Bo ( Park Shin Hye) is a 30-year-old woman working as an elite supervisor in the financial supervisory service. She is a very cool-headed and hardworking woman who only thinks about her job. She goes undercover as a 20-year old school graduate and works at a company where there is a suspicious flow of funds.
It’s so funny to see her character pretend to be a 20-year old woman. This is again a light watch, and I am enjoying it so far. Park Shin Hye, as usual, is killing it.
