friendship
C.S Lewis got it right: friendship is born when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one!"
Ending a Long Friendship
This is gonna be a tough one. About a year ago, I decided to end a thirteen-year friendship with my best friend. What made me do it was the fact that I noticed I kept feeling really down when I was around him. I was getting to a good place and I just felt like he was bringing me down. Now, I understand that he was going through a rough time as well. He was separated from his husband. So at that point, our friendship to me felt more like an obligation. I was just getting drained every time I was with him.

The Phone Call
It's 1 AM, Jett wakes up from what seems like the best sleep he's ever had in the last five years. He gets out of bed, his room has been cleaned out for weeks. The only things he has left is a suitcase full of clothes, a toothbrush, an electric razor with aftershave lotion, and some cotton balls with a backpack full of snacks for the road. The drinks are in the car already. They consist of cans of Arizona, Mountain Dew Kickstarts, and some water. He goes to his window to look at his car, a red 1972 Chevy Chevelle SS with racing stripes on it and named it Kelly since he always loved Saved by the Bell.

Lost
I love when the sun shines down on your skin as the cool breeze chills your skin. It's the perfect combination, not too hot, not too cold. That is one thing I love about summers in Oregon. It almost makes up for being in this hell-mouth of a town. Ah, Simmerton. The moment I graduate, I'm moving far away from here. Maybe even LA I've always wanted to try city life...

Growing Up
Most people, at least once in their life, have gone through a period of time where for some reason they have been affected socially. If you haven’t, let me tell you, you are the anomaly, you are the 1 percent. For the rest of us, things that happen with our friends can affect every other aspect of our lives. Sometimes this is not anyone’s fault, or it is equally both parties fault. However you want to look at it, some friendships are toxic. Sometimes it is because both people have different sets of values, and because your values are different, it's hard to understand one another, especially when one party is upset with the other. Sometimes, the person(s) is just nasty. Today I’ll to try and outline the signs of a toxic friendship; the first sign is that:

A Wrecked Tahoe, the Packers, and Some Great People
Rarely is one fortunate enough to meet extraordinary people, but I was fortunate enough to meet an extrordinary man and a woman close to home just this last week and feel the need to share their story. I have traveled extensively in my lifetime so far and have met many people in the process, but never have I met a couple as intriguing or as care-free as the couple pictured above: Talia and Steve.

Open Letter
Disclaimer: The person's name will not be revealed. We will call her Rose. Dear Rose, Friendships are about having each other's back and not constantly being jealous. You were so jealous of me because I had something you didn't. A boyfriend who loved me for me. Someone who stuck by my side. I found it absolutely hilarious how you had no self control or respect for anyone else's feelings but you were the same person that expected it from everyone else. You always thought you were better than everyone. Truth is, you're not.

2014: Second Best Year of My Life
2014...... Damn, what an amazing year. There were definitely lows but a lot of highs came after that. January of this year came and I was getting the sour taste of 2013 out of my mouth. It wasn't easy to do but it got easier when I went back to school. It started quietly at first but after I did the play, Tuna Does Vegas as one of the stage crew members, I had a feeling that things were just getting started.

The Grio Takes Over the World
This is a story all about how these two beautiful, incredible, smart, funny, and kind individuals changed my life. Don't take that message wrong; yes, they are absolutely incredible people, but they are also crazy and just what I needed to shake my life up. So I was working at a large, well known retail store when I met these two peeps. I started out as a cashier but was quickly promoted to a front end manager. I ran the front which included the cashiers and the guest service department. We had a lot of crazy nights working there and a lot more adventures outside those horrid walls.

Are They Really Your Friends?
Everyone needs friends right? But sometimes people that you name your friend may not be your friend. A friend is someone that is truly devoted to you and cares about your emotions and well-being. If you have a friend that shows no concern over your happiness, then you need to let them go. Those are the types of people that take you for granted or are using you to just to get rid of somebody. So here is a list of how you can tell who is your friend and who is not your friend.
