A Day With Grief.

From my book, "Growing With Grief."

"Growing With Grief."

When grief comes for a visit I leave the door open wide because in my love I was loud and in my grief I will not hide.

I'll pour us a cup of tea and we'll gather out on the porch.

We'll sit in silence for a little while just enjoying the sun's warmth.

He'll help me wash the dishes, wash the clothes and sweep the floor, he'll spend the day with me until he has to go and leave me alone once more.

But my door will always be open to welcome him whenever he needs.

I never hid my love and I'll never push away my grief.

This is tender and profound—grief isn’t something to overcome but it’s something to sit beside. And that’s a powerful message.✨
