Forgive me for not what I do
But forgive me of who I am
I have a job to do when called upon
My senses are dulled and numbed for many a reason
The average human would never understand.
I'm led to stage with no emotion or I'll willed intent
The crowd is jeering and scoffing with nihilism
Like a stagehand behind a curtain
I get the nod and yank the rope
And just like that another neck is broken.
Again forgive me for not what I do,
But forgive me for who I am.

I sadly enjoy much coffee, and if you feel as though tipping me a coffee would help my creativity, I would greatly accept your tip towards the purchase of a coffee, or perhaps a nice french press. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my poem.
