A Short Rhyme For You This Time
Here is rhyme in all its glory! Written for and about my hubby in this story? Is rhyme poetry? What do you think, as I would like to know? Is it a yes or a no?
Can you believe it?
As I sit
to read my last rhyme
to the hubby, he doesn’t have time!
****
When I want to read a poem at last
my Hubby will say, “Fine, do it fast!
As my sanity will not last too long!”
He is not very strong!
Maybe I shouldn’t say that, is it wrong?
****
Poetry threatens his manity!
Is that better? Well, what about my vanity?
When he doesn’t listen to me.
I am working on rhyme that he
is responsible for, you see
as I wrote it just for him!
****
“It is just like modern art and I am full to the brim
with that! Anyone can do that art
and poetry, it takes no one very smart
to put that together!” I hate that he says that
so I am helping develop his sensitivity, the brat!
I give him a bite at a time and he loves it.
I can read him some as we sit.
****
I believe some rhyme to be poetry now.
I didn’t at first but I do now and I will take a bow!
