Above the Pacific

Between water and light

By Fatemeh AzimiPublished 3 months ago 1 min read

Floating above the New Zealand sky

Traveling between cities

My ears feel heavy

People’s voice fade into a whisper

Clouds slide past the windows

Moving in the opposite direction of the plane

The wide Pacific lies beneath us

An ocean reflecting the sky

The plane feels like an origami boat

Gliding between two worlds

One made of water

And one made of light.
