2/4/2026 A Poem per day for February. ~~~ I wrote this a while ago, but did not publish it. The balloon ride over the Serengeti was in 2011, and it was magical. However, the noise of the gas into the balloon is very disturbing to the elephants (which the pilot explained), so I would NOT do it again. I don't want to disturb the lovely jumbos that I so admire, and want to thrive in their home in Africa. It is their home, after all.

I've never been on a hot air balloon before so I had no idea they were so noisy. Learned something new today. Loved your Haiku!

Beautiful haiku Andi, I love elephants and I am interested in their abuse, I read about once. I want to thank you for helping me with embedding a link. I was eventually successful, thanks to you my friend. Thank you again, for teaching this old lady new tricks. I appreciate it.
