For the "Instructions for a Feeling" Challenge

Sit
or
lie down.
Settle in.
Take a few deep breaths.
Feel the rise and fall of your chest.
Turn your senses inward. Be with yourself. Only you.
Feel your body. Locate the pain, the hurt, the tension, the heaviness, the discomfort.
Inhale deeply. Fill each inch of you and all these nests of hurt with flowing air, with warmth and light, with white and gold. Let it reach your pinky toe.
Now hold it. Acknowledge the discomfort, feel the hurt, embrace the pain. Be with it. Look at it. Don’t place blame or seek reasons. Don’t try to fix or mend it. Neither glamorise nor demonise. Let it be. Just sit with it. No judgement.
Feel it, live it, forgive it. Hug it, squeeze it, know it. Hold it tight with love and light. Hold it. Hold it. Hold it. Wrap it into one more layer. One more wave of lightness. Then slowly let the air flow out. Visualise the pain and tightness flying out of you with ease. Release the hurt. See the gust, the flow carrying it further. Further. Dissolving into nothingness.
Feel your body. Be kind. Notice her and let her be. Now, when you’re ready, repeat the cycle. Breathe in as deeply as you can. Fill her. Let her bathe in compassion, ease and love. Find the soreness, locate each large and tiny spot of hurt, uncover what is old or has overstayed its welcome. Thank everything that once was true, give a nod to what no longer serves you. Just notice. Just hold. One final time, before you free it. Before you let it go for good. Repeat the cycle for as long as needed. Then wiggle fingers, toes, stretch out every limb and feel the space. Feel the calm where once was noise.
