Belated

From the beginning,

the body forms,

and curiosity builds.

Among the stars,

whether in mother's arms,

a cribs bars,

small bed,

full, twin, double, queen;

there are all the same dreams.

Every morning,

eyes widen open,

whether with a joyful struggle

or an intense desire,

the fire is sparked;

with it, today's agenda

finds a way to be dire.

But still,

and forever will be

a peaceful feeling

within thee.

Throughout time,

there are new wants and needs.

Yet, the sweet dreams

do their deeds

as they simply stem from

a place of belonging,

and the light, sun, or candle

can forever shine.
