Blizzards Rage Part 1

Pain to Healing

Ice as far as the eye can see,

Winter cold, bitter, and hungry,

Devouring all in its path.

Many lay beneath her

Frozen solid to the core.

Crystals of clear glass and ice

Creep along the bloodstream

As the heart slowly stops beating.

No panic, just welcoming the abyss beyond.

Numbness sets in from every angle.

But for me ice and snow fuses with me

Though I am buried six feet under.

Though I am now a stone statue

I hold an icicle poised to strike.

I want to blast winter upon all

So they can feel my icy heart

Like I do tortuously day and night.

Let the blizzards rage

So no one can see nor feel.

No hope of even a kindling fire

to keep warm at night.

Death begins to finally set,

Ready for its final strike

As death stares me down.

I stare back not flinching nor any concern.

Then suddenly though I was beneath

ten feet of ice and frigid waters,

I felt warmth like a lion breathing on me.

I felt my heart beat once again.

Spring rushed in around me

As I found myself in the arms

Of the White Rider.

Selfless love was all over his face.

Tears flowed from my face

Like a raging waterfall

That flows endlessly.

My White Rider carried me away

To a place of comfort and peace.

My wounds of the darkness

Began to heal as my

Soul felt like it was slowly

coming back to life

Like a stream reviving after a bitter winter.

Peace whispered in my ear

Of the joy yet to come,

A promise of better days

To be enjoyed to the fullest.

A feast for the ones who suffered

So they will forget the former things

And dwell on the promises of the feast

And no more tears or sorrow.

Hope comes swiftly like wind

And graceful as an eagle flying.

White Rider comes once more.
