Blooming Flowers, Senescent Leaves

Can co-exist, just like opposite emotions

I had never seen Callery pear before

until I found many of them

in the apartment, I came to stay.

Dark, rugged trunks and branches,

in winter, canopy of white,

cherry-like blooms,

in autumn, colorful leaves,

each looked like a canvas.

But sometimes, seasons overlapped.

you see above,

a cluster of blooms

attracting bees,

and a few senescent leaves

yet to be shed.

I saw similarity with our emotions,

joy and sorrow can coexist,

don't have to be crisp phases.

Notice nature, glean wisdom,

yes, even a tree can teach,

precious life philosophy,

if we pay attention.

Good job and you are so right. This would be good for a botany lesson I believe.
