Breaking Up
Submission for the Unnecessary Line challenge
It was honestly kind of easy
To know that she was really mad as Hell.
Just one look at her pretty face
And you don't need that much to quickly tell.
*
Picking this place was a smart move
There were several people chatting around.
I was afraid to be just us today
And having my voice silenced and drowned.
*
But she was behaving
And surprisingly quiet for how she usually is.
I tell her my reasons
And there was no response, not even a fizz.
*
I was talking while she was silent
Like a person that doesn't say any words.
The conversation was going slow
It felt like eating a full serving of curds.
*
But at the end we agreed
That the breakup was better for both
We said our goodbyes
And we parted on our ways without a revolt.
*
The best part of this?
She is finally gone and now I can chill.
I am completely free
It's time to reclaim my missing free will.
