Cold-water
walking
ankle
deep
in
the
tide
through
white
foam
towards
the
sun
the
brightest
star
like
those
kings
to
the
manger
where
the
baby
was
born
to
the
virgin
mother
my
mother
now
in
heaven
but
here
too
Deja vu
my
early
days
seaside
on
another
beach
with
the
same
name
but
in
a
different
state
but
the
same
ocean
the
same
sand
my
hands
now
like
my
Mother’s
then
waving
to
me
as
I
climbed
the
rocky
cliffsides
to
starfish
sea-anemone
tide
pools
my
green
eyes
like
my
Grandpa’s
then
watching
the
orange-
pink
sunsets
until
the
sky's'
ribbons
of
light
dissipate
to
a
warm
night
of
soft
black
with
golden
stars

Really enjoyed this. Moving, and the structure created an almost visceral reaction. -SM
