Daily Struggle

Fibromyalgia

By Kayleigh TaylorPublished 7 years ago • 1 min read

For a second I wake up, the pain has gone.

Then I move slightly, feeling it come on.

Always my first thought, just one day.

Just one day, make the pain go away.

Today my bones crack, I barely can move.

Tomorrow my muscles, what can you do?

I don't feel steady, as I move out of bed.

The pain begins, at the back of my head.

I finally get up, a struggle but it's done.

Fibromyalgia 0 Kayleigh 1

Now onto walking, I try to stand tall

I fail rather miserably, it's now 1 all.

House done, like a marathon to complete.

I feel to sick, to sit down and eat.

A burning sensation, stops me straight.

I have to sit down, to get put off the weight.

Less than 2 hours in, a long day ahead.

Before I go back to crying, as I lie in my bed.

What is worse, the torture or the pain?

Never feeling good, for one whole day?

The strength of my family, keeps it at bay.

But it's still not enough, to make it go away.
