Dancing With The Ghost

The bitter truth

In the quiet of the night,

When the world is still and bare,

Shadows come alive with light,

Whispers fill the air.

I step into the moon's soft glow,

Feel the chill upon my skin,

In the dark, they start to show,

Specters from within.

Memories of days long past,

Faces I once knew,

In the silence, they amass,

Ghosts of a time I flew.

They dance around me, slow and sweet,

Echoes of love and pain,

In their presence, hearts can meet,

Relive the joy and strain.

We twirl beneath the starry sky,

Silent music in our ears,

No need to question how or why,

They come to calm my fears.
