There is a darkness inside of me

I want to hurt the one that hurt you

There is a darkness inside of me

I no longer read

***

Why did you stop me

When I went after him

Clutching my Swiss Army knife?

There is a darkness inside of me

***

Why did you let me kiss

Your forehead but not your lips

You showed me that cursed ring

That separated me from you

***

I loved you first

But left in the night

I felt like I am not good enough

I know I am not good enough

***

You choose your words carefully

I am crass and cruel

You look like a goddess

I have gone grey

***

There is a darkness inside of me

I want to hurt the one that hurt you

I want revenge

I no longer read
