A Fictional Poem

For best experience, listen to my music while reading this poem.

...

Violence is a choice,

That leads to a dark, hopeless voice,

It's easy to fall prey,

To anger, hate, and dismay.

But we have a choice to make,

To rise above and not break,

To search for independence,

And not just in substances.

My old man, he invested in me,

But I had to find my own destiny,

It's not about what we take for granted,

It's about what we do, undaunted.

We run and we work, like a marathon,

But in the end, we must come second to none,

We must push ourselves to the limit,

To prove that we can win it.

It's not too high to touch,

And it's not that deep to fall,

We must have faith and not doubt,

And stand tall through it all.

We're all right, we're all right,

We can overcome any fight,

We're strong enough to make a change,

And break away from the same old range.

So let's choose love over hate,

And let's not wait,

To be the change we want to see,

And set our souls free.

We're all right, we're all right,

Let's keep up the good fight,

We're all in this together,

And we'll make it through, whatever the weather.
