The fall's harvest fairies go to sleep and with a large yawn, they enter a slumber. Then, with a wrinkle of a nose, a twinkle of a toe and the whirring of a blue wing the frost fairy awakens, she was asleep for much longer than the last fall.
To get to work she must go, her wings sparkle a silvery shimmer as she touches down on the first leaf and with a smile, the leaf then has a tip of frost, and it spreads slowly and carefully into the branch like a beautiful dressing gown it wears the frost.
The fairy steps left and right, spreading the silvery whisp of frost everywhere she steps.
She touches down on a bird bath laughs at the reflection and she touches it with her small delicate fingers and the water freezes over. The glistening of the frost reflection, soon the frost fairy would be asleep, and the snow fairy would come and spread the magic even further.
Spinning and twirling in her blue dress, she leaps across the yard and her sparkle is not far behind her leaving paths of glitter trickling like a water fountain.
The colors she leaves behind are blue, white and silver a beautiful combination of colors that allow her to dance in the air.
She spreads her wings and with a sigh, the water beneath her starts to freeze slowly, she touches the frozen water and the touches the reeds in the water, and they turn into white.
Soon her best friend Snow Fairy would come out to play, but it is not today.
