Fake or True Depends on You

A rose is a rose by any name

A hard week of working ended on Friday night.

This was the time for Victoria and Miles to take flight

After a week of toiling according to strict rules

they had made a pact to apply what they had learned in schools.

They went off to the café to meet friends to let loose and laugh,

They would recount stresses of the week so they all seemed like a gaffe.

*

At their table the friends arrived one by one.

Even the servers knew this was the time for having fun.

Stories were woven, with a vision of objective distance.

Events were summarized, as if in a script, describing an instance.

Smiles beamed from each face as brilliant as a mask.

Using wit deflected reality and fulfilled the mandated task.

*

To enjoy an evening out, the meal and make company delightful

takes a certain skill set with an intention that can be insightful.

Vic and Miles liked sporting rose coloured glasses.

to help increase bonheur, litting inspiration ignite in flashes.

The evening ended. Laura and Fred had lowered their pressure gauge.

Roleplay released their tensions. Life’s hunger and needs were assuaged.

*

The beauty, sensuality, and mysticism of a rose is a rose by any name

but how it is looked upon in the shining light is not always the same.

Mindset techniques are often altered by playing pretend.

They can make positive feelings arise and should not to be condemned.

The world is a stage. Putting on a mask is something we all do.

If imaginings become good or bad, fake or true, depends on you.

My stories usually present facts, supported by science as we know it, that are often spoken of in myths. Both can help survival in an ever-changing world.
