Feelings Aren't Good Or Bad

Feelings just are

Did you learn growing up that it is not okay to feel?

Is it not okay to feel angry, sad, mad, or real?

To reveal some disgust or loud crying.

If you are having fun, laughing,

were you told that someone would get hurt?

How can being silly cause hurt to Burt?

Feelings are not good, sad, or bad; they just are.

Want to cry, please do. It will sometimes take you far.

Want to stop? We can do that too.

Change chairs, look up, think of something else to do.

Having a bad day, laughter yoga will save the day.

Try smile-ups and laughter breaths to make it better today.

Hug yourself, don't take a drug, watch puppy videos,

and even chicken shows will help to take you out of the throes

of some emotions that you don't have time for right now.

Call a friend who will laugh with you. Write nonsense and allow

the smiles and laughs to come. For some, it is a simple matter

of being okay with feelings. Mine, yours, and ours. Mind overmatter!

You are so right for we do need to get out of our heads every so often. Laughing helps a lot and watching any kind of video that makes one laugh should help love those puppy videos. Good work.

Hooray for feelings. We should be ok with them...it's a matter of managing them. Comforting, Denise.
