I need to write something today
But honestly, I don't feel like it
Don't feel like rhyming
Don't feel like finding words that steady hiding
Don’t have the energy to make a sentence
Zzzz zzzzz zzzzz zzzz
But I am on a writing mission
So here's a poem I fight to write
As exhaustion over takes me
My eyes open and close mid-flight
zzzz zzzzz zzzz
Hold on the poem is almost-
Zzzzz zzzz zzz
Over, just sit tight
A few more words to add
Zzz zzz zzz
But yes I am tired
The feeling of starting a new journey
And continuing another one
Zzzz zzzz zzz

I feel this way from time to time. Or sometimes kind of the opposite. I want to write something, but nothing is coming to mind. On those kinds of days, I give my mind a break and do some light reading or enjoy a favorite show for inspiration.
But it's very important to take some time to rest as well. Sending you lots of love and hugs ❤️

💙lol, I just take a nap on those days. Write later in the day <3
This is so perfectly relatable — the raw honesty, the sleepy rhythm, the gentle surrender to exhaustion. It reads like a lullaby for every tired writer still trying to show up. You captured the struggle and humor of “just writing something” beautifully. Sometimes, even half-asleep words carry full-hearted truth. 💤🖊️✨
