Fit

a poem

we were never a good fit

you had to turn your wrist just right to hold my hand comfortably

you would wrap your arms around me in a bear hug, your head putting pressure on my neck

you wanted more and less of me at the same time,

so I am glad we caught on early, or I caught on early,

that we would always be fighting each other to be understood if we held on

& I am glad that you reminded me how important it is to fit

so I could find the person who does.

Gratitude

'you wanted more and less of me at the same time' That line especially really hit me! I loved the whole poem but the ending was jsut perfect!
