Surrounded and supported by ones we hold dear
Like the branches and roots of a tree
Pushing and pulling, changing every year
Improving the best parts of me
Standing together, withstanding the storm
Learning to bend in the wind
Burrowing deeply, perfecting our form
Since the beginning, returning again
Becoming everything we are meant to be
Displaying the beauty within
Through every cycle, changing like the leaves
Growing more comfortable in our skin
Stretching and reaching our arms to the sky
Producing fruits that fall, still planting the seeds
Playing our part in this beautiful life
Developing the soil to be all we can be

The Light Turns
It's Tuesday 7:13 a.m. A cold and clear November morning awaits Ray on his morning commute. Ray rubs his hands together in the front seat of his Subaru. He turns the air temperature up, but keeps the air on low until the air warms up. He looks at the backup camera screen and reverses the Subaru out of his driveway onto Trimble Road.
