How to brace for impact

The cold calm ceases its existence

as hasty heat ascends my spine.

The blank white mind

Burrows

as a chaotic clash circulates a once

Barren space.

The body, once Still and Quiet

enters a state of unrest

As a striking surge of unpleasant energy pierces the liminal space.

The ferocious fervent fear fosters a

pit in my stomach,

As my faint fragile confidence dwindles with the passage of time.

The slippery substance of sublime strains with focus,

As my audibly anxious thoughts anticipate the worst.

The broad blistering build of chaos

Spews from me,

as I remind myself to take a breath.
