Stories of children and life in starving Gaza

Gaza and a piece of bread.

____By Aranna Hasan Delwar.

Gaza is here; I want a piece of bread!

Sent a wave of bloody current to my door?

Who set the fire?

The volcano erupted all over the city today

Not an inch of soil is safe

Where I can put my feet. The cruelest violence

The land of my native land is burning with explosion.

When the flames die down, there is only ash all around

Ash gets mixed in the air

The sky becomes dark.

As our future life has become dark.

There is no light anywhere

How long can the darkness last?

Surviving is a very difficult task

How will you get there?

Surrounded by hyenas

Above is the hungry vulture, which loves fresh blood.

When the hyena will tear and eat, and the vulture will pounce

There is no guarantee of that here.

They eat the flesh of a parentless little child as delicious as the flesh of a deer.

What a strange, cruel scene

You won't believe it if you don't see it.

What you see is many sensors

It goes to you under the glass.

In every grave here you will hear the cries of the hungry,

They were hungry even moments before they embraced death.

I want to leave a piece of bread on their graves.

This brings more awareness and it breaks my heart; I am a pacifist and my "political belief system" is based on my vow to a peaceful life. To be hungry is known to many, to be the target of annihilation is unbearable. Our world is cruel, despite it's beauty.
