Holy Hate

Calling all the pagans and the atheists,

And the Christians who can handle it,

The truth that is -

Let me clear the air a bit. 

My God is awesome - actually amazing.

But the people reppin' Them gon' a little hazy.

Some douchbag in the past,

Yeah, he had a blast,

changing words in a book

messing with its hook,

a Kingdom kneeled and shook.

"I am KING! You know what that means?

Yeah, I'm God's mouthpiece

Let's switch up these love vibes,

Corrupt them with hate and lies. 

Fear is easier to work with -

Let's get these peasants to submit.

Turn this story of pedophilia and rape

into homophobic fueled hate.

But wait! There's more to change!

Let's delete the chapters of Kings overthrown."

Lessons have gone unshown,

messages of love forgotten,

And the Churches turned rotten.

Time's come and gone,

Now the flocks all wrong,

Our true Shepherd is gone. 

The bible was never here to incriminate,

or suffocate, or advocate

for abuse and hate! 

Forgive my Christian fellows,

Ignore their bellows!

They forgot that God's not full of spite,

They aren't here to smite,

Their love is divine,

The fruit of forgiveness is ripe! 

On God's behalf I say,

These wayward children LOST their way,

and for those of us who TRULY pray,

We know God loves us ALL,

even when we lost the game at freewill's sake.

Because you see, Faith's a choice,

and let us rejoice!

God gave us the freedom to choose,

how we behave, win or lose.

The Devil may be walking,

And Evil may be good at talking,

but HATRED is a human thing -

And we cannot shake the blame

When Christians be spreading hate in Jesus name!
