how to get down to the cafe

ignore google maps and get lost in the back roads and side streets

I like to find

Different roads to stroll

Between the cafes and bars

Hotels and apartments

Different paths with

Different sights

On days where too much

Is the same.

_

I like to find

Hidden gardens

Sinkholes and

Suddenly

Three horses

Looking out the windows

Of an half-built house

Turned into a stable

Make a bad joke about

Good neigh-bours

And on the next side-street

Find a lost mountain

Of rope

Amid a haunted forest of

Overgrown grass, somewhere

In there

I’m sure a small mouse

Is on a mighty

Adventure.

_

I like to find

Puppies living under a

Concrete bunker beside

The Bay of Vlorë,

Black cats amid

Grey rocks beside

The Bosphorus.

In Sutomore

Tortoises

With yellow-pattern shells

Roamed the backstreets

When I walked down the hillside

To the beach.

_

There to find

A cappuccino

Or a raki

And read of some other life,

Write of some other adventure

And then

Find some other road

Some other path

With some other sights

To walk home again.
