How to Move With A Heavy Heart

for best results, repeat daily

Good morning! Whether it is or not is irrelevant

Begin with a smile, just a simple turn of the lips

It doesn’t have to be real, just evident

Maintain, remember to maintain the smile

.

Even as you step into the shower

You feel stupid, so smile bigger

feel stupider, this is power

Maintain the smile.

.

Now then, with lather rich atop your head--

That’s the sound of your own real laughter!

This is how we beat the dread!

Maintain the smile

.

Drink water, but not shower water

And eat something for breakfast

Say thank you to yourself, become your own lauder

Maintain the smile

.

Music will help, something upbeat and fun

It’s great if you know the lyrics

Even better if there’s none

Maintain the smile

.

you may feel led to dance around

Do it anyway, if not

It doesn’t matter if your movements match the sound

Maintain the smile

.

Be sure to drink more water soon

Set a timer for every 20 minutes

Call it Water & Smile As Boon

Maintain the smile

.

It’s a good idea to go outside

Take a walk, especially if it’s raining

Resist staying in to hide

Maintain the smile

.

Understand that I understand

There are days this will not come easy

Moments these instructions will feel too grand

And you aren’t able to maintain the smile

.

Understand this is alright

Rinse and repeat these things tomorrow

These tools are weapons in a fight

You must continue day by by

.

You won’t always need to try so hard

Believe this will not last forever

Think only of one thing at a time

And upon a good day you will endeavor.

.

If nothing else, Maintain the Smile
