I screamed today
I screamed today because tears no longer sufficed
I screamed because I couldn't see an enemy to fight
I screamed because I could no longer keep that inside
I screamed because it was a last ditch effort for peace
I screamed because it was an SOS
I screamed because I had no grave to find rest in
I screamed because I was so angry and tired
I screamed, but I don't think it was loud enough
I screamed because there was no one there to hear
I screamed because maybe God would hear then and answer sooner

This is just poetry, so please...no worries. I'm sure all humans have felt this before and done their own screaming, right?

We all want to scream sometimes
Very well put, Shirley. I agree, I think we have all been there, even though it can be hard to admit sometimes. Great poem.
