As I dance in the rain, behind my gorgeous smile are wounds that have not healed.
My fingers trace long, textured scars; each bump is a journey revealed.
A honeyed voice whispers, "You are alive because of your will.
Stick out your tongue, catch each cool droplet or let it fizzle against your warm skin.
Let the smell of rain remind you of Grandma's sweet and nutty hot cocoa on cold rainy days when she'd wrap her arms around you."
