Let Words Reign Supreme! (A Perfect Escape)

Instructions for Disappearing

Flip the world, right side up,

when life weighs you down,

dragging you to the ground,

tune it out, noise-cancelling sound.

Draw close to your heart's centre

whenever it feels overwhelmed.

Seek solace in film, or wise counsel

found in song or the written word.

Let words flow freely,

limitlessly, in every direction

demanding attention.

Memories intrude on the present,

leaving little room

until you forge

a fresh narrative for them.

Rich with new meaning and grace,

replacing former, flawed embrace.

Prioritizing what's truly key,

not everyone's cup of tea.

There's a lot of peace to be found in writing, listening to music, and watching films. It's so great to close out the world when committing to our hobbies, haha. Love all all these poems, Maggie (you're spoiling us)! Good advice to disappear, and best of luck in the challenge.
