Life makes us dance.
We’ve learned some tunes,
and we think we can perform our best.
But life, the hard dance master,
keeps giving us new tunes to move to.
The rhythm changes real fast.
We struggle.
Our dance becomes awkward,
far from graceful.
The session feels punishing.
Our self-esteem erodes.
We feel like quitting
the dance arena altogether.
But quitting is not an option.
We must keep shaking,
twisting, and moving
until the session ends.
So what should we do?
I guess we have to adapt—
to develop a taste for the tunes
life gives us.
We must stay agile,
feel the shifts in rhythm.
Who knows?
We may even snatch some fun
as we keep gyrating to the beat!
The life dance master
isn’t even keeping score.
We can take breaks
when we need to.
But it’s important
to return to the dance
as soon as we can.
One day,
the music will stop.
The dance will end.
So, happy dancing.
