Madness
Lunacy Engorged
Without guidance you've silently lit a world beneath, beholden, betrothed Rhiannon, for before us were dens of lions, sparsely clad warriors, demons and deaths, births and poisons yet you promised us to divinity~
Ice diamond in the night, pleased as lovers mate, breathing life into gibbous wombs, create, create, create. Yet whilst mossed placentas you engaged, lie barren in your light how can you shine so brilliant with all that waned, rallied, swarded, bloody still?
As men marched under your eye, battles on land and sea, you lit the way for the world, through decadent fantasies. You do play all sides, you're everyone's shining light, deviant, smiling master of all below, a jester of some Gods court?
War, children, mothers dying, starvation, salvation, maniacal powers plotting, people frightened, holding hands, sleeping, staring, begging, needing, wondering, maybe, just maybe if there is more because you still...
Exist. You hang above millenniums of peril, pearly like a gem or are you the heart of all of times blackened, sodded heart?
What do you want from us lowly beings? Shall we keep making love on sandy shores, read stories and fables about you as if you are our own friend? Or do we look at you and wonder if you care that on not one, but millions of dark nights a ship has sunk on treacherous seas as its Captain and sailors last sight was you?
You've glowed as men were tortured, were lost in deserts, you! YOU! Their only guide?
You may be worshipped, a blaze of always-ness we ponder but you luminal wander I will always ask how you came to be, to oversee the beauty, the beasts, the ever evolving life we know, then leave us, leave us, truly naïve beings on our knees?
On our knees praying, believers or not, under your fullness in the hollow, frightening, darkest of times to the above-ness you keep, for answers, for more. For more than we understand.

Well-wrought! I love the reference to the Welsh Goddess and your description of the many circumstances she oversees.
Loved the nature of this, both an ode and an accusation
I love how you've captured both wonder and frustration with the moon.
