Missing The Chorus Line

Loosely Inspired And Submitted To The Unnecessary Line Challenge

By Marc OBrienPublished about 14 hours ago 1 min read

Where did she go?

That girl wearing an innocent white bow

Dancing on her tippy toes

She seemed to know

Shows major routine

Heating up the underground subway steam

Did she find a beau?

That Girl wearing an innocent white bow

Or did she just grow

Out of the need

To dance in theater, next to the bad seed

Maybe she found the real estate deed

Written in her long-distance cousin’s will

Now buried on Communist Hill

Fighting the battle for the ages

Hundred-year war threw out the history pages

But it did beat fantasy clubs with the cages

Now that she is rich

Claiming never been hitched

That girl wearing the innocent white bow

Who we do not know

Where she did go

Is missing from the chorus line

Tired of the musical grind

We searched but no one could find

That Girl wearing the innocent white bow

I guess we must let her go

Eliminate the line

Other performers will have to find

Different work

Hoping not to be visited by mother stork

Called upon by that girl wearing the innocent white bow

Who did not tell anybody she had to go

Due to seducing one gullible beau
