Morning in the Garden

It's where I find peace

Winter fresh morning

first thing I do,

is go to the backyard garden,

to greet.

Imagine sitting there,

in the ottoman,

flanked by the raised beds

full of greenery,

admiring the blooms of

nasturtium, arugula,

mustards, and tulips.

You smell a sprig of mint,

see the new growth on kumquat plant.

Two angel statues

offering tranquil vibes,

inspiring compassion.

You sit there, wrapped in serenity,

with hot, steaming tea,

cupped in your palms.

Finches make a concert.

Bees will come,

lizards with sunbathe

with the sunlight soon.

It’s peace, and harmony,

self-made, lovingly,

with nature's blessings.
