Move On

Violaceous Tears

The things that she's seen

when she was barely sixteen

From the moment she was taken

From womb to cage

A cry so loud

Veins that deserve rage

But softness grew within

Shallow world and gray walls

Cold bare feet

Being led down heartless halls

The pain was the nothing

The life of nothing lovely

So how did flowers grow so bright

In the soils of her heart

The strength was so intense

The fear was to the core

But the night she made a break

Heart ripped through space and time

From the time she tasted freedom

To the time she tasted death

Her only crime was loving

Punishing last breath

Washing the sin of trauma

Being the burden of men

showers in violaceous tears
