Nature's Friend

The earth is crying for our help

By Seema PatelPublished about a month ago 1 min read
@Seema

Your writer friend is here,

in the bosom of naturenature,

where she feels intense peace.

She has no interest

in merchandise trends,

Christmas tree or the ornaments,

but nature’s gifts

are what she loves,

pine needles, pinecones,

wolf lichen, snow plant,

are more precious than

her slim jewelry box

contents.

@Seema

She knows,

the earth is not for exploitation,

but for reverence,

to walk softly, to treat gently.

She agrees with John Muir,

loves exploring the wilderness,

and feel it's good tidings.

She reads Robin Kimmerer,

Braiding Sweetgrass,

to honor indigenous knowledge.

She passes nature wisdom

to her kids,

knowing they are the future stewards.

Nature lovers are her kin,

those who ease the planet's pollution

raising awareness on crises

are for her, angels.

    Choosing nature is good for our body, mind, and spirit. The happiness that’s only serves us is not glorious.
