O’ heart of mine

A tale of woe

Has my heart yet again lead me down a broken road

One that’s all to familiar and unpleasantly cold

Or has it just selected for me

Another rotten apple, in my never-ending battle

For a key to my heart

Because truth be told, I cannot take it any longer

And my worlds already falling apart.

So please I beg you, O’ heart of mine

Close your broken gate

Bar it shut, secure with chain, keep out the pain

Before it’s to late

Because my worlds crumbling

And can’t handle another quake

Numb to the world I am

And all I’m holding onto is about to break.

So, O’ heart of mine- I beg you.

Lock yourself away,

I’m tired of playing, I’m tired of trying

And always getting the same

So, this is it, it’s over

This is it, I’m done

The noose has been drawn up;

My lonely heart hung.
