Financially speaking

I think we are good.

There is money in the bank

And the house is now yours.

*

The kid's future is safe

There will be no more drains

I hope he sees what we did

And you hear no complains.

*

It is now on you

To maintain the peace

I will be gone for good

That's a charming release.

*

We tried the best

And the best couldn't fix

What was wrong with me

Using all of their tricks.

*

Stay put and remember

That we had it for long

It is now a sure thing

Don't forget to change the toilet paper.

*

All the boxes are marked

All the plans are in motion

It's time for goodbyes

And sail across the ocean.

*

I am not afraid

I know what is coming

I will be singing

Or maybe just humming.

*

I am leaving now

I may see you again

Give me our last kiss

Love you forever...

Amen.

I like the creative way you used “complains” as a plural noun and how the the whole thing is positive but then that one line, almost a nag, like the writer can’t help but slip it in.
