Plumb Line Restored

For the unnecessary line

By Jacqueline Elaine HudsonPublished about 5 hours ago 1 min read
Plumb Line

What's the gest

to rest in the knowing or

slide to the plumbline in another spot

blotting out the bruises, wounds, & scars

never meant to be visible,

but to knock down the hurdles,

resetting patterns so they don't bend

to the old genres of yesteryear.

A plumbline can't be seen,

but neither is Jesus

and yet he is the real

standard to go by.

The requirement is as follows,

to be vested in Jesus

he’s the surest thing

in the Heavens above and earth below.

Yes, he’s sweet I know,

not just a line in a song.

A covenant we all can agree on.

You’ve thought about restoration

tomorrow - tomorrow - tomorrow

for years it's been sitting in a corner

quietly tucked away never really gaining

satisfaction; a promise for you to make

the change, this very hour.

It's time to get off your tush,

make this move and be squared away

in your heart and mind.

A restored plumb line is not just

words, rulers, or measurements,

but a Cornerstone by which the believer

stood. Let's all be real within ourselves,

a plumb line restored is standing firm

on Christ the solid rock

and not shrinking back.

It's the blood that never loses its power

or righteousness being redeemed.

Every believer will fall sooner or later

but as one gets back-up,

make sure that repentance

is the first button to push

on the ride going up.

Next floor ding ding,

plumb line restored

inside and out!
