Remember what they took from you
and burn and make the love anew
By A. S. LawrencePublished about 8 hours ago • 1 min read

Remember what they took from you,
The time and love and healthy kid,
And burn and make the love anew.
The good republic lost to coup,
You will as you talk with the grid
Remember what they took from you.
Recall her rotten arm of blue,
Reject the feeble devil's bid,
And burn and make the love anew.
The memories replaced with clues,
You struggled long, but then you did
Remember what they took from you.
You'll call to mind, when troubles grew
And you had need, the friends who hid,
And burn and make the love anew.
Our dream's a black and blueish bruise
Encased in their dead pyramid.
Remember what they took from you
And burn and make the love anew.
